This spring, activists will convene for five days of direct action training at the Bay Area Direct Action Skill Share (BADASS). Movement trainers will guide us through eight training tracks, including civil disobedience, action art, climbing, action planning, and more. We'll kick things off with one day of hands-on non-violent direct action (NVDA) training and a panel discussion. Then we'll move into four days of in depth skill-sharing breakouts. November 6-17, 2023 The United Nations 2023 COP28 on the climate will be held in U.A.E. The fact that two COPs in a row are held in oil exporting countries add to the skepticism of how effective these meetings are.
